William is the owner and Chief Executive Officer of Atlantic Safety Centre Inc. As a Canadian Registered Safety Professional and Certified Safety Specialist, William has 50 years of experience in providing professional Occupational Health & Safety and security consulting services to various industrial, business, service, and government sectors. These services have encompassed an extensive and diverse range of client’s needs that include but are not limited to: policy/program development; safety auditing; hazard assessments; training; accident/incident investigation, and industrial hygiene program development and monitoring on small and mega scale projects.
William is an active and certified member of numerous national and international professional safety associations such as the National Safety Council, National Fire Prevention Association and the Canadian Society of Safety Engineering. Other internationally recognized memberships include the World Safety Organization in which he has an accredited Certified Safety Specialists (CSS) designation in recognition of his vast experience, years of work, professional competency and contribution to the safety field. He is also a professional member of the Association for Canadian Registered Safety Professionals (ACRSP) whereby he holds the Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) designation and is a past member of Board of Governor's and served as their Chairman on the Public Affairs Committee.
William has also delivered professional papers and speeches on various occupational health & safety topics at one time or another to a wide range of professional associations, industrial, and business sector audiences.

Mona is the President and Chief Operating Officer of Atlantic Safety Centre and has 25 years of experience in the safety field as an administrator. Mona ensures that the business aspects of our firm runs efficiently and is responsible for project management and the consulting activities that run concurrently. Mona is responsible for the facilitation of our training services, providing professional advice to our many valued clients and our professional trainers. Mona is an active member of a number of associations including the Newfoundland & Labrador Occupational Health and Safety Association. Serving as their Executive Director, Mona manages their day-to-day affairs and provides OH&S services and direction to the broad membership. She is the firm's in-house expert on the Transportation of Dangerous Goods and delivers air, road, and marine training on this subject. Mona’s expertise and advice relative to TDG (in all modes) is highly respected and widely sought.

As Atlantic Safety Centre’s Vice President, Pam is primarily tasked with guiding business development and expansion for the growing operation. A retired teacher and high school principal, Pam has extensive training and experience in management, team building, conflict resolution, mediation, professional development and facilitation, strategic planning, leadership, as well as numerous administrative skill sets. In her tenure as a high school administrator, she was recognized by the Eastern School District with an Excellence in Leadership award for her demonstrated leadership both in her high school working environment and within the larger school district. As a certified facilitator, Pam also leads sessions at Atlantic Safety Centre on the timely topic of Creating Bully Free Workplaces.

Our Senior OH&S Consultant, Harold is a Canadian Registered Safety Professional and has 40 years of extensive experience in the Occupational Health and Safety and Security fields. Over the course of his career he has provided these services in various industrial, business, and government sectors.
Harold is an active and certified member of numerous provincial, national, and international professional safety associations. In recognition of his vast experience, years of work, and contribution to the safety field, Harold served as Chairperson of the Minister of Environment and Labour's Advisory Council, Secretary to the Canadian Society of Safety Engineering, and as a member of the Board of Directors of St. John Ambulance. Harold has also received the Order of St. John (Canada) in recognition for his experience, abilities, and continued dedication in the safety field.
In addition to his wealth of experience in providing advice to industry in the field of occupational health and safety, Harold is certified to provide instruction in a variety of Occupational Health and Safety courses including: Hazardous Materials Handling; WHMIS; TDG; Accident Investigation; Fire Fighting and Fire Investigation; Hazard Recognition; Confined Space Entry; Workplace Inspections; OH&S Committees, and Advanced First Aid. Harold has also completed the Fall Protection – Train the Trainer course, Fall Protection Detailed Skills course and the Fall Protection Equipment Inspection course offered by DBI-SALA.

As a Security Professional in major operations such as Bull Arm, Voisey’s Bay, and Argentia, Mike is trained and experienced in virtually all aspects of quality assurance and control. His background includes security inspection, staff supervision, law enforcement liaison, and instructing others on quality specifications and requirements. Mike has also successfully completed the Port Security Officer course offered by the Marine Institute.
Mike is well versed in developing and maintaining reporting protocol such as inspection checklists, nonconformance reports, and computerized record keeping. As well, Mike has a broad knowledge base, with certificates in First Aid, Transportation of Dangerous Goods, WHMIS, OH&S, Cold Water Rescue, and Basic Fire Fighting. Mike has completed Safety Supervisor Studies through the National Safety Council in Chicago and a number of Loss Control Management studies from the International Loss Control Institute in Atlanta.

Michael White is a Canadian Registered Safety Professional and completed the advanced diploma program in Safety Engineering from the College of the North Atlantic's Engineering Technology Centre. Michael’s formal training includes areas such as Loss Control Management, Health & Safety Administration & Management, and Safety Program Development.
Prior to joining ASC, Michael gained broad experience working in the construction, residential, commercial, industrial, and health care industries for more than 15 years, as well as having served as Commanding Officer of the 2863 Royal Canadian Army Cadet Corps. Michael also holds a Level II Emergency Medical Response Diploma.
Since joining Atlantic Safety Center, Michael has provided site safety services, revised safety programs, developed training programs, and provided training in a number of subject areas. Jeff has completed the Occupational Health and Safety Diploma program from Keyin College and has previous work experience in risk and hazard identification for various occupations. Based on these identified risks, Jeff was responsible for recommending and implementing safe work practices and procedures.
At ASC, Jeff has many duties such as packaging dangerous goods; providing training in WHMIS, Fall Protection and the Transportation of Dangerous Goods, Surface, Air & Marine modes. Jeff also has also completed the Fall Protection – Train the Trainer course, Fall Protection Detailed Skills course and the Fall Protection Equipment Inspection course offered by Capital Safety which he instructs regularly at ASC. Jeff is also responsible for advising on OH&S matters along with providing worksite inspections and safety audits for clients.

As one of our qualified team of Occupational Health and Safety trainers, Dave is a retired high school teacher with over 30 years experience working with young adults. In his capacity as a recognized leader in his field, Dave has channelled his extensive knowledge and experience in professional development to develop and deliver sessions for local, regional and national audiences. Dave’s interest on Occupational Health & Safety stretches back decades, having helped develop and teach the original Workplace Safety curriculum for high school students for over 20 years. Today, Dave is certified to deliver a variety of OH&S instruction, as well as being a facilitator for ASC’s Creating Bully Free Workplaces sessions. He is also certified to instruct programs in the area of Musculoskeletal Injury Prevention. Dave also provides consultation guidance for ASC’s clients in the areas of ergonomics, executing on workplace ergonomic assessments and providing proven solutions to reduce workplace injury.

Annie is Atlantic Safety Centre’s Administrative Assistant, using her 20 years of office and technology experience to support senior management. Amongst her many duties, Annie coordinates safety training and associated events for ASC’s Argentia office. In this capacity, Annie engages in customer relations with Pamela Evans, as well as assisting with coordination of Atlantic Safety Centre’s new Learning Management System with data entry and coordination of safety training. Annie is accredited in Computer Technical Support in addition to being MCP certified.
